About

Mandy Herold (HDE – JCE & BEd Hons – WITS) has been involved in education in South Africa for 25 years, initially as a classroom teacher and then in leadership roles, including Head of the Junior Prep at The Ridge School for 12 years. Currently, she sits on the Board at Parkview Pre-Primary School.

In her School Board and School leadership roles, Mandy has been responsible for creating cultures that promote student learning and student wellbeing. She has experience in rolling out whole-school initiatives in Conscious Disciplineâ and creating safety as the basis for Social Emotional Learning. Mandy is a leader who fosters authentic connections between students, teachers, and parents. 

Mandy is an International Conscious Disciplineâ Certified Instructor, a Gallupâ Global Strengths Coach and an Accredited Foundation Executive Coach with the Association for Coaching. She is a dynamic presenter and has presented at conferences such as ISASA Conferences – PosEd & Pastoral Care, Professional Minds and ISAB (Independent Schools Association of Botswana). Mandy is a thought leader in Wellness, Connection, Empathy and Self-Regulation. Her aim is to spread Visible Wellbeing across Africa, helping big humans so they can help small humans.
