We had the pleasure of having Claire Fortune present on Visible Wellbeing and positive education to our staff. The session developed our awareness of the mental health issues that Australian children face and the important role that teachers play in improving the wellbeing of students. The presentation sparked enthusiasm and created a buzz amongst the staff . The information shared was contemporary, evidence based and hard hitting. It highlighted the importance of wellbeing and the impact that it has on students’ academic success. The session also provided staff with practical ideas that they can implement in their classrooms as well as their own lives.
We found Claire Fortune to be an engaging and personable presenter who took the time to tailor the presentation to the needs of our staff.
The presentation was a wonderful beginning to our ‘Positive Education’ journey at Hawthorn West.
